Formerly a writer and editor, I began drawing again in 2015 after a long hiatus (almost 20 years!) The teachings of Kimon Nicolaïdes have been my primary source of inspiration. Nicolaïdes, an instructor at the Art Students League of New York in the early 1900s, focused on close observation and making contact with the impulse of the subject being drawn. The Bargue drawing course and a regular practice of making master copies have also formed a substantial part of my training. More recently I’ve been concentrating on oil painting. I’ll be making updates to this site and adding more prints + original work to my Etsy shop soon. Thanks for stopping by!
